Overview
The purpose of this study is to explore perceptions of young adults on the QUIT smartcase concept and accompanying smartphone app for reducing and stopping use of e-cigarettes that contain nicotine. The sub-objectives of this project are as follows:
- To explore the acceptability and potential usefulness of the QUIT smartcase for reducing and quitting e-cigarettes that contain nicotine
- To explore preferences for behavior change support for supporting gradual reduction of e-cigarette use
Research Set-Up
Initial Questionnairre
Collected participants' demographic information
Vaping history and behaviour: Qualtric survey
Semi-Structured Interview
Participants were asked to provide their opinion on features they find most effective, and suggestions for improving the app components and prototype.
Interviews were conducted using Zoom
Duration: 60 minutes

Qualitative Analysis: Thematic Analysis (NViVo)
Business Outcomes
With the help of this research, I was able to provide the partner company
users' feedback and their perceptions on the QUIT smartcase concept and the accompanying app and a set of design recommendations which would help them to design a fully functional QUIT smartcase and incorporate user-recommended strategies that can be used, enhancing the relevance and usefulness of such a concept for young adult vapers.
